Build an offline-first travel setup

Prepare the services you need before arrival. Use services only in accordance with applicable law and provider terms. A resilient trip does not depend on one app or one connection.

Before you fly

  1. Save essentials offline. Download offline maps and language packs, then save accommodation details, transport tickets, translations, and key addresses.
  2. Confirm device compatibility. Check that your phone is unlocked, supports your chosen data option, and has room for offline files.
  3. Keep independent backups. Put important confirmations in a second device or secure offline storage, and carry a power bank.
  4. Test the essentials early. Open your maps, payment apps, and bookings before you need them in transit.
